So here we are discussing 10 most interesting everyday idioms. 

Now the question is - what is idiom?

The idiom is an expression whose meaning is different from the meaning of individual words in it. 
In Hindi, we're used to saying muhawara (मुहावरा)

The easiest way to learn the English idiom is, to use it in everyday conversation.

Here is some list of idioms with examples.

1. Around the corner:- soon to come or happen, very near (जल्द ही )

The game of thrones final season is just around the corner.

2. After all:- as a change in plans; anyway (आख़िरकार )

I do support her in tough phases of her life - after all, she is my sister.

3. Afraid of one's own shadow:- very easily frightened,  timid (डरपोक )

Don't take him with us to the haunted house, he is even afraid of his own shadow.

4. As hard as nails:- insensitive, hard-hearted  and cruel (कठोर)

I thought he was as hard as nails when I first met him.

5. All set:- ready to start (तैयार)

Once I iron my shirt I'll be all set for my meeting.

6. All gone:- not any more, done with; over with (ख़त्म होना/चले जाना )

He used to travel a lot, but those days are all gone.

7. At first sight:- after a first quick look (पहली  नज़र मे)

Edward met Bella in high school and it was love at first sight.

8. All in:- very tired, exhausted (थकना )

He was all in after travelling to Paris.

9. At length:- in detail ;fully (विस्तार से )

Professor lectured us about human rights at length.

10. In a nutshell:- very briefly, in few words(संक्षेप मे)

Julie: in a nutshell, everything.
